This project aimed to design and code a functional, responsive website that met the client’s needs and vision.
I met with my assigned client to discuss design direction and specifications about the website. My client requested a shopping website for football pins. Since this is a popular product among college students, specifically sorority members, I wanted to market the website towards that demographic. I looked at similar shopping websites and sorority social media for inspiration.
Initially, I created a site diagram in order to map out my ideas. I then worked them out on paper until I was left with hand-drawn wireframes. I ended up modifying this layout to better fit my client’s needs. I brought this layout to figma and further developed it, adding content and a feminine style that communicated the cause for the product–football. I kept the styling simple in order to feature the designs. I finally recreated the high fidelity wireframe in stages using BBEdit. I learned how to create advanced animations, optimize images for web use, and troubleshoot during development for accuracy. This project gave me advanced tools to develop this website.
